Type of Heat Treatment
- The procedure is composed of two parts, every heat treatment includes heating and quenching:
- ◎ QT Processing (Quenching)
- - The procedure of heating the carbon steel to the transmutation temperature transforms it into austenite
- - The rapid cooling treatment with water or oil, hardening by transforming into martensite
- ◎ Solid Solution Heat Treatment
- - The operation performed to obtain a solid solution structure at room temperature by heating the alloy component of steel in high-temperature
- - Quenching to control the deposition of the alloy composition after keeping the solid solution dissolved for sufficient time
